Teaching Creativity

Can you teach creativity?  Can you afford not to?

Agenda for our brief time to reflect on creativity:

  1. Article highlights
  2. Why teach creativity?  Process knowledge versus content knowledge.
  3. Take out a piece of paper for the Paperclip exercise.
    • Timed – 1 minute.
    • Trade papers.  Read uses.
  4. Revisit Ken Robinson’s take on divergent thinking.
  5. Bloom’s Taxonomy flip.
  6. Rip. Remix. Burn.  Publish.  Lather. Rinse.  Repeat. Hundreds of versions of “Did You Know”.
  7. Claymation version of Little Boxes.
  8. Are you prepared to fail and fail often?
